Class Overview
WHEN: Classes are held one to two Tuesday nights per month from 7pm-8pm.
WHERE: Oklahoma Performing Arts - 718 S. Elm Pl. Broken Arrow, OK 74012 (in the Central Park Shopping Mall in the corner next to Freedom City Church).
ATTIRE: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bare feet or socks recommended (no mat needed)!
WHO: Our classes are open to the public (ages 16+)** and intentionally designed for all levels of experience and physical ability, including those who use mobility aids or wheelchairs. We believe everyone should have access to the numerous benefits of somatic movement for overall well-being and expressivity.
**Special consideration may be given to those younger than age 16; please contact us to discuss.
COST: Tickets are $20 per person. We believe movement should be accessible to everyone, so if cost is a barrier for you at this time, please contact us. We are happy to discuss flexible payment options or a reduced rate to ensure you can join us. (Collaborations and pop-up workshops may be a different price).
Somatic Movement

In this class, we seek to deepen the mind-body connection and explore new, healthier ways of moving through gentle, slow and intentional explorations and somatic movement based exercises using the framework of Laban Movement Analysis, the Bartenieff Fundamentals and other Somatic Concepts. We explore and investigate bodily awareness while standing and on the floor and work towards gaining a greater sense of embodiment to relax the nervous system and fuse the inner and outer worlds of the mover.
